Did you know how to Adopt a Diplomat? 🇺🇸 🇫🇷 In anticipation of the 80th anniversary of the Liberation of France, it was an honor to have US diplomat Kristina Hayden join my Geopolitics class yesterday at my High School, Lycée François Raynouard.
📖 Together, we worked on the Memories of D-Day. Kristina’s dedication was impressive as she actively engaged with each group during a marathon day ! The students contributed great ideas, including video recordings of family witnesses, exploring the perspective of women through postcards depicting the Landing, creating mind maps, working on Franco-American postwar special relationship and more.
💻 We look forward to the final production: an interactive journal detailing the Memories of the Liberation of France.Thanks to the US embassy for coordinating Kristina’s visit and implementing the ambitious Adopt a Diplomat program! Avez-vous déjà pensé à Adopter un Diplomate ? 🇺🇸 🇫🇷 En prévision du 80e anniversaire de la Libération, ce fut un honneur de recevoir la diplomate américaine Kristina Hayden dans ma classe de spécialité HGGSP hier au lycée.
📖 Ensemble, nous avons travaillé sur les Mémoires du Débarquement. L’implication de Kristina était impressionnante : elle a consacré du temps en tête à tête à chaque groupe d’élève pendant une véritable journée marathon ! Les élèves ont eu des idées excellentes comme des enregistrements vidéo de témoignages familiaux, la perspective des femmes en 44 à travers des cartes postales, des cartes mentales, ou encore la relation franco-américaine après-guerre.
💻 Nous sommes impatients de voir la production finale : un journal interactif détaillant les Mémoires de la Libération de la France. Merci à l’Ambassade américaine d’avoir coordonné la visite de Kristina et mis en œuvre le programme Adoptez un Diplomate ! A venir : la production finale et la troisième réunion avec Krisie !
